Second man turns himself in over viral Zimi Seh brawl

A second man is now in police custody over the wild brawl that erupted at the Zimi Seh Beach Party in St Ann, with another suspect already identified by complainants following an identification parade.

Senior Superintendent Carlos Russell, commanding officer for the St Ann Police Division, confirmed that the second man turned himself in at the Runaway Bay Police Station on Thursday.

He is expected to face an identification parade as investigators work to determine his alleged involvement in the melee.

The first suspect was arrested on Monday at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, while he and his wife were preparing to board a flight to the United States, where they reside.

Russell said the man was pointed out by the complainants during an identification parade on Wednesday, and charges could be laid against him today.

However, his attorney, Donnovan Collins, has maintained that his client was not involved in the incident and has questioned the fairness of the identification process.

The attorney previously pointed to video footage of the brawl, which has since gone viral, arguing that it clearly shows who was involved.

The violence erupted during the Zimi Seh Beach Party at Puerto Seco Beach, Discovery Bay, on Sunday, after a reported water-splashing incident triggered an argument that quickly turned physical.

Two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, both from Kingston, were injured during the melee.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
